At 9am on December 26th my sister was supposed to be relaxing on a beach in southern Sri Lanka, about the time a giant Tsunami that killed 12000+ people hit it *.
It is a lucky thing that she was not there.

Dear Girl in Boots,

I love you. Let’s get married.

Love,
Guy in striped shirt (Alex)

Since thanksgiving I haven’t felt well enough to hit the town like I did every other night this summer. Tonight I really got out.

At salsa people were like "woah, you got a hair cut." Yeah. My dance instructor thought it looked fabulous. Hurray. I didn’t really learn any new moves. The place was dead. I did win a 75$ gift certificate. Awesome. I left right afterwards.

At Sky Lounge (my usual Wednesday/Friday night place) people were like "woah, you got a hair cut." Yeah. I got to dance to house music for the first time in about a month. It was great. On the floor Girl in Boots was there with some guy who didn’t even really like dancing, but she was awesome. You might have noticed that I proposed to her earlier in this blog. She left with that guy about 20 minutes before closing. She told me to keep the party going after she left. I had nothing intelligent to say (didn't stop me from saying something though).

Terra the bartender is infinitely unattainable, but she knows me and charges me very little for all the drinks I get. I think I gave her a bigger tip than the bill. We did a shot earlier. That was awesome.

Time to go. Bye everyone.

This girl next to me at the pizza counter is accosted by this guy; she makes the most awesome expression of "fucking shit why is this asshole talking to me". She placates him somehow. I’m still rocked by the expression, "that was the most awesome facial expression!" I tell her. She laughs and gets way from the counter quickly. Bye!

When I’m about to leave the pizza place I see that girl from work who lives around me who is so hot but also really incompatible with me and so high above me. We say hi. I leave.

Yeah. Awesome.

Other stuff
I want to get Christmas gifts for someone. I have my immediate family covered. My young cousins are the perfect candidates. I went to the Discovery Store and couldn’t figure out what to get them. I saw some things *I* would have liked as a kid, but wasn’t sure what they (all girls) would like or if they already had. I was thinking about getting all four of them a copy of The Giving Tree, which might be the most beautiful children’s book of all time. I don’t know if they have it already though.
