Instant weekend plans just add water
On my way back home from the gym tonight one of my friends calls and tells me he’s had a hard month so we need to go drinking tomorrow night. OK. Twenty minutes later I get a text message from my friend who wants to go dancing Saturday night. OK.

Kickin’ it cross country
I am going to be in the SF area from 3/28 to 4/2. Let’s hang out.

Competition
Take some slang phrase and make it legalese and funny. Leave it as a comment.
Here’s my stab at "word is bond"
"Word is contractually binding under most circumstances (bitch!)"

Home Sweet Home

I have living with my folks for almost two years now. It’s been sweet except for the crippling social stigma which follows me like a sinister shadow. If it weren’t for that shadow I don’t see why I’d move out while living in Chicago – not just because it’s cheap and convenient – but because I have experiences like tonight:
So here’s how cool my dad is: he started taking guitar lessons this January at the age of fifty-something with no prior musical background. He started guitar lessons a few days after I started taking classes at the GSB. Tonight I was at the kitchen table doing my Financial Accounting homework (weeeee!) and my dad takes a break from his homework (ie guitar playing) to ask me if I know The Flaming Lips song "She Don’t Use Jelly" because he’s learning it in his class. I grab my copy of Transmissions From the Satellite Heart to play along with and soon he’s playing and I’m singing: "Taaaaaaan-gerines"
Wicked.

Speaking of The Flaming Lips, I heard Wayne Coyne on NPR the other day and enjoyed his essay "This I Believe" [Link].
